Compensation: $120,000.00 to $130,000.00 per year
•**Recent IPO software company located in the SOMA section of San Francisco is seeking a US Financial Controller to oversee the Accounting/Finance operations for their US subsidiaries. This position reports into the SVP Finance/Corporate Controller and is the highest ranking position in the US***
Job purpose: To take full responsibility for all aspects of Finance, within the US entities, covering both US Finance department and global demands. Prudently managing growth working alongside the Senior Director of OPS and VP of Sales, and with a strong link into the group Corporate Controller/CFO providing financial management and reporting analysis.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Planning and managing the activities of Finance within the framework of group Finance policy and strategy to ensure that financial controls are efficiently maintained.
Timely and accurate financial reporting for group reporting purposes.
Production of timely, accurate and meaningful information to support business performance (budgeting, forecasting and analysis).
Strategic planning and model building with VP of Sales, group Corporate Controller.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements such as, Tax, Auditing, etc.
Ownership of all budgetary planning and forecasting needs.
Ensuring group level policies and legislative rules applied to global operation and people operating out of the US.
Defining, implementing and ensuring compliance of local policies and procedures within the framework of group policies and procedures.
Participate as key Finance resource on any US acquisitions and subsequent integration into US entities.
Ensure Financial Statement compliance with GAAP.
Drive US Sarbanes Oxley compliance
Manage Finance staff of 6 or more
Participate, as necessary, in any US Financial systems related implementations.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance required
CPA preferred (inactive o.k.) MBA desired
10+ years accounting experience with at least 5 years prior experience as Regional/Business Unit Finance Director
Strong business acumen
Strong understanding of GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley and related application to business issues
Familiar with relevant US tax regulation, incl. corporate income tax, sales tax, withholding tax
Strong computer aptitude and proficiency including expert MS Excel skills and SAP
Solid experience gained within a global service/software related business
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with outstanding attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to meet tight deadlines and to deliver under pressure in line with the activity of the business
Proven management experience
Outgoing personality and ability to establish rapport and work efficiently with all team members serving various functions at various levels
Exceptional communication skills with ability to present analysis and findings in both verbal and written formats to all levels of management and size of group
Self-starter and independent thinker who has the desire to work in a fast-paced organization
Project management experience
Salary $120K - $130K + 10% Bonus!!
